Dear Cheerful Writer,
Yesterday, faced with a choice between meditating or writing, I opted for meditation.
As I settled into the practice, I could feel a new spaciousness around my creativity, with new project ideas beckoning from beyond familiar horizons.
The meditation became a release ritual, allowing fresh inspiration to flow in.
This experience mirrors the essence of Mercury retrograde, which encourages us to clear out the old to welcome the new.
Do you ever feel the need to create space for your work?
Here are three ways to make room for new ideas as we prepare for Mercury retrograde starting tomorrow.
1. Organize Your Writing Space: Clear out clutter and create a clean, organized writing environment. Mercury retrograde can bring communication challenges, so having a tidy space can help clear your mind and enhance focus.
2. Back Up Your Work: Mercury retrograde is notorious for technical glitches and communication breakdowns. Make sure to back up all your writing projects on a secure cloud storage or external hard drive to avoid losing any important work.
3. Review and Revise: Mercury retrograde is a great time for revisiting and revising your writing projects. Use this period to review your work, make edits, and refine your ideas. Use the introspective energy of this time to enhance the quality of your writing.
