From one writer to another:
For many years, I believed I needed to be a "serious" writer, keeping my passion for astrology, tarot, and psychic intuition separate.
Despite professionally writing for 16 years and working as a publisher and editor for 10, I felt I had to hide this part of myself.
However, everything changed when I realized that my clients were not only interested in my writing expertise but also sought my insights on cosmic alignments and their creative energy. It dawned on me that I could merge my two passions.
In 2017, I launched a project called Write the Moon, where I began to blend writing advice with moon phases. Slowly it grew beyond the moon and from there, The Nocturne was born.
The journey taught me a valuable lesson: take heed of the adage “write what you know” and what resonates with you. If people are asking you about it and it feels like a part of what inspires you, then it's worth exploring in your writing…even if it’s not your original intention.
Remember, being a "serious" writer isn't about conforming to a certain mold. It's about embracing your unique voice and interests, no matter how unconventional they may seem.
